long bow arch

Longbow arch is on Potash road and is accessed through the poison spider parking lot.    the hike is about 3 miles and it's PACKED with serious goodness.   petroglyphs, an impressive dinosaur print and a massive arch.
not to mention the hike is awesome AND you get to bring dogs.

clockwise from top left
1- view through rock 'arch'
2- tiny, stubborn cactus that grew wherever the hell it wanted
3- me looking through aforementioned rock 'arch'
4- world's most useless cairn
I felt like the fossil on the right was mocking trail sand on the left ..
love him ...
"we're here!"
we chilled under the arch and had some lunch

we watched the sunset on this awesome rock
then followed the trail map around to see the dino foot prints ..
and finally, we wandered around the cliffs to find petroglyphs. #awesomeday

I’m Danielle. I’m a mom, I’m 40. My legs are short and I’m out of shape lol but I like to go all the places and do all the things. haha I’m pretty enthusiastic about being out in nature. I live in Moab, Utah - USA, with my 1 husband, 2 kids, 2 dogs and more cats than I am woman enough to admit in public. We love to be outside, hiking, exploring, chasing sunshine and doing the learning, when possible. My family is my entire world wrapped up in four awesome humans and way too many rescue fur babies .. these are our adventures.
