Mesa Verde - Cliff Palace

when we started the vacation, our plan was to spend one day at Mesa Verde, touring the dwellings, hiking & taking photography of all the cliff-top scenery.  but this place is spectacular and we had to stay an extra day.
Cliff Palace is the largest cliff dwelling in North America & was built as early as 1190



Ranger-guided hikes are the only way to get down into the best parts;
so make the appointments, spend the extra $5/person and go on the one hour tours.
They're awesome.
