our childfree vacation to Colorado lived up to the old saying 'life isn't about the destination .. it's about the journey.'
Before we left, everyone kept telling me how the Million Dollar Highway was this breathtaking drive through the mountains that I just had to take. They weren't exaggerating.
Everywhere you turn is majestic scenery that you don't think can be topped .. until you turn the next corner.
one of the most amazing moments in the drive came completely unexpectedly and was the last thing we thought we'd see in the middle of a Colorado highway.
we came around a corner and the guy driving towards us was flashing his lights & motioning his hands downward as if to tell us to slow down.
I was thinking there was a cop or highway patrol in the vicinity .. but I was wrong.
I felt bad for the guy in the Nissan behind us who came up after the sheep was gone and was just annoyed at everyone being slowed down to a stop ..

we were the LAST people around the before this big horn sheep was bored of being around the humans and ran off up the mountain; on OUR side. allowing Gary to get the shot below. 😊
